Maplewood Deck & Fence was founded in 2019 by a crew that grew up in the east Twin Cities metro and knew firsthand what Minnesota winters do to a deck built the wrong way. The idea was simple: build outdoor structures the way a neighbor would want them built - properly permitted, footed below the frost line, and finished with materials that hold up through a decade of hard winters without turning into a maintenance project.
Maplewood is a city of established neighborhoods - most of the housing stock dates from the 1960s and 1970s, and a lot of those homes have back doors that open onto a concrete step or a yard that was never really finished.
